Last Friday I thought I'd take a quick walk out back to see what the fields look like behind our house. Last year they were filled with Rape. Gorgeous, brilliant yellow everywhere. They rotate the fields and I wasn't sure what I would find this year. Wheat, as it turns out, and it looks like it's about to harvest. Completely dry.
And as I walked into the orchards I was met by rows of pear trees, heavy with fruit.
