Tiny Granny Thoughts

So I wake up this morning with my newly announced promise to blog more and not make excuses, and before my eyes are really opening properly, I find myself crocheting another granny square. This time with sock yarn ... a lot smaller. In typical fashion, I am trying out ideas before I get the basics down. Now, this is a tricky one because it often leads to premature discouragement and has led to the putting aside of many a potentially fruitful project. That back burner is getting mighty crowded. BUT, the idea I had was just to make tiny granny squares, so the skills are essentially the same. The first round of sock yarn granny square can be seen above next to the square I made last night. A fair bit smaller and a fair bit neater, wouldn't you say?

Oh, and before I get carried away and forget to credit an inspiring force, the backdrop to the photo is Sarah London's Granny Square Love, which helped get this ball rolling. Off to the day job.
