Sandwich, Kent, UK. January 14, 2007.Sometimes while wandering, plants or trees pop out at me and practically beg to be photographed. This was one of them. I had already packed away my camera and passed it by, but doubled back to take the photo. I kind of wish I had taken more now, but this is the only one. Certainly, this tree has a soul.
I love the "wrinkly" bark near the middle of the tree.

Yeah, the wrinkly bark actually looked like a mouth all around the tree, and there were several eye-like shapes above it too. Really interesting. I bet that tree would have some stories to tell...
